hidden files in Linux

Hidden files and folder have names that start with a . (dot character). To toggle show/hide hidden files or folders use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + H.

This command will list only hidden files: ls -ld .?* Explanation: -l use a long listing format -d, --directory list directory entries instead of contents.
