is it possible to upgrade Android on my Samsung Galaxy S7 from version 8.0.0 to 9 or higher? reason is that some apps which i use have been upgraded and no longer run on version 8.0.0.

One issue I've had, when I try to encrypt the device from the Samsung settings it starts the process off reboots twice and then comes back with a failure message whereby you have to fully reset the phone again as per instructions at top of post.
