DisplayLink Manager – macOS Installation Instructions

Click on the ‘Apple’ icon within the menu bar located at the top of your desktop and select ‘About this Mac’. A new window will open and display the system’s macOS version. For those who prefer, we have a video demonstration

Once the device is connected, macOS will notify you that the ‘DisplayLink Manager’ application would like to record the computer’s screen. Click the ‘Open System Preferences’ button to grant this access.

As the DisplayLink Manager app does not rely on macOS kernel extensions, it is not only easier to install, but it will also lead to increased stability/reliability, improved behaviour across OS upgrades, and seamless updates through the App Store.
