Jailbreaking is the process by which Apple’s mobile operating system, iOS, is modified to run unsigned code in order to gain access to files that Apple wouldn’t normally let you access.

Evasi0n is capable of jailbreaking all devices on iOS 6.0 to 6.1.2. Evasi0n is an untethered jailbreak, meaning that it persists after reboot, so once it's installed you will not have to reinstall it unless you erase your device.
In March 2013, Apple released iOS 6.1.3, a seemingly routine update that turned out to be a pivotal moment, effectively killing the popular Evasi0n jailbreak.
