How to fix delays and Bad sectors on HDD with HDD Regenerator

For file recovery purpose, never ever run HDDRegenerator, SpinRite and the likes. It just does not do any good. It forces the drive to reallocated bad sectors, which is a bad practice for file recovery. We don't want this to happen. Rather, we want to

Pending or delayed sectors are sectors that the disk controller is having trouble accessing. The disk controller will try and re-read said sectors to see if they can be recovered.

There's no such thing as delayed sectors as far as file systems go, delayed sectors is something the programs you're using to scan the drive are reporting, as previously explained they're sectors with longer access times.

Try a full surface read, which will detect any current pending sectors that may be unknown. Then do a full surface write, which should get rid of all the pending sectors. Then do another full surface read, which should confirm they're gone.
