Windows Phone 7 is the first version of the Windows Phone mobile operating system. Unlike Windows Phone 8 and all subsequent versions, this version was based on the Windows CE kernel instead of Windows NT.

Throughout its lifespan, Windows Phone 7 was shipped on 28 unique devices. This list contains devices that have been confirmed and officially announced by their manufacturers.

Windows Phone 7.x was succeeded by Windows Phone 8, which was released on October 29, 2012; existing Windows Phone 7.x hardware could not upgrade to the incompatible Windows Phone 8 software.

Windows Phone 7.5比較特別的是，大家都知道音樂、照片、影片這些多媒體檔案，都得透過Zune來傳輸，但照片有自己獨立的介面，而影片與音樂則是整合於「音樂+影片」這個選項當中，影片不像Android手機是附屬在相片集的介面下。

在 Windows Phone 7 發表後，微軟也不出意料的承諾將整合所有主要產品領域：包括 Xbox Live、Zune 和其他辦公軟體，預料這有望激起 Windows Phone 7 潛在客戶的濃厚興趣。
