I left the Taig on the old wood base I had it on and snugged it up next to the fence using an aluminum angle and a ¼” bolt through the fence's center hole.

In case anyone is interested, I am selling my Taig metal lathe and a large collection of unused tools that go with it.

The mini lathes are best for jewelry or model building. The size of stock you can use is very limited. I tried one and was very underwhelmed.

The Taig machines will offer me the best value for money for small hobby work, and offer a slight advantage in size over Sherline.
