Audio formats

Both Pure Audio Blu-ray and SACD are capable of excellent audio quality (possibly including multi-channel), and feature simple “screenless” navigation.

SACD would have the advantage as it is DSD the Bluray may offer high bit rate PCM but not all offer uncompressed files.

After listening to both, there is no doubt in my mind that SACD is smoother than Blu ray audio (and probably dvd-audio). The SACD sounded smoother.

SACDs are easier. With Blu Ray Audio discs, they often have a few audio options so I have to put the TV on to be able to navigate them.

The big thing with Blu Ray is that you don't need a special player. I can't think of a benefit that SACD or DVDA has over Blu Ray.
