Screen will not shut off during timelapse

Is there a way that I can turn off the iPhone 12 Pro Max's screen whilst recording a long time lapse? Can Siri put it to sleep?

Why there is no sleep mode ? Led diode of camera being used will be light on but the display will be off due to battery.

I have gone through the settings and set my screen to turn off after 15 seconds but when in Timelapse mode it stays on regardless.
